Three weeks update

I’ve been at it for three weeks now. I’ve lost 10 pounds. I believe it’s a combination of exercise and and meals.

Exercise:

The week of May 2nd rained the entire week. But I was determined to keep my activity and went to the gym 4 days that week.

The second week of activity I started to use the treadmill machine which made me sweat more. I would run on the treadmill for 30 mins and use the elliptical for another 30 minutes.

This third week the weather has been much better and I’ve been active outside 3 days so far.

I much rather run/walk on the street, along the beach (Revere Beach) or around a nice peninsula (Deer Island) than using machines in the gym.

Meals:

I would always get dinner from the local deli or pizza shop or go out to a restaurant. Lots of delicious and fattening food. I’ve been cooking my dinner for the past few weeks.

I join Blue Apron which delivers all the ingredients and detailed cooking instructions to my house. This service gives me two advantages 1) I’m learning to cook and 2) the meals are typically healthy and low-ish in calories.

Breakfast and lunch I get at work – I’m fortunate to have a healthy aware cafe at work which has a pretty extensive menu featuring lots of healthy options.

I’ll keep posting in regular increments which is very difficult for me, but part of my life changing work means I need to document what I’m doing right and I’ll start documenting what I’m doing wrong as well.
