Back to ‘normal’

I feel as if I’m getting back to my cadence from a month ago. As a matter of fact I think I might be doing better. I had my weekly goal of 4+ active days. I’ve increased it to 6 active days a week.

During the two weeks I was sick I was active only two days per week. Last week I started my new regimen of 6 active days a week. I didn’t do anything on Friday, every other day I was doing something; jogging, biking and walking.

The weather is getting cold. Soon I won’t be able to do much outside. Typical this is the time when I hibernate and don’t come out until next spring erasing any progress made this year.

This year I’m determined to break this cycle. I have a gym membership and I believe I’ll be cancelling it. I’m thinking of joining a crossfit gym instead. Having different activity options will probably help me keep me going back.

New goal: keep blog  entries short and frequent.

Keep moving. Keep making progress. Keep going. You’re doing great.

    1. πŸ˜„ the six days a week comes from a book I just finished, Younger Next Year. I want to try it, if I can’t maintain that level I’ll ratchet down.

      So, if I do 4 or 5 days I’m still ahead πŸ˜‰

  1. 6 days. Wow. I agree with SlowRunnerGirl. Running outside in winter is great. You just need a new set of running clothes including gloves and woolly hat. I think Crossfit is expensive for what it is…. but your choiceπŸ˜€πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

    1. I don’t enjoy the cold πŸ˜”. It’s pretty counterintuitive because I live in New England where we get harsh winters.

I will take your advice and get some winter running clothing and give it a shot.

      1. Haha. I know your winters are harsh, but you can always check the temp. If it’s around -2Β°C or above (that’s 28F) then you’ll be fine. You won’t be cold for long and as long as the pavement/path is not icy, you will feel invigorated when you get back home(so much more than after a gym session!!) I look forward to hearing all about it!πŸƒπŸ»β„οΈπŸ˜€
