First Morning Jog

I’ve had a few insomnia episodes lately. This Sunday and Monday for example, I was tossing and turning at 4am and 5am respectively. 

Yesterday I crashed early. I was asleep by 8pm and woke up at 2:30 this morning. I wasn’t able to go back to sleep after waking up. Since I was up I decided to do something productive and different – I went for for a jog. 

It was 4:30am when I left the house. One hour, 19 minutes and 5.4 miles later I was back home.

It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I was fully awake. The sky was dark and the air nippy. I was surprised at the amount of cars and people on the streets at that time. It’s now 10am and the sky still as dark now as when I left the house at 4:30 this morning.

I’ll attempt to repeat the early jog in the future. I also have to do something about my the insomnia.

    1. No, I don’t have those items. There are however lots street lights which make me feel pretty safe. I usually jog late at night, between 9pm and 11pm. I actually feel safer at night and now early in the morning; this weekend when I jogged in the afternoon both days I had to make sure drivers saw me before crossing the roads as they were looking at their phones instead of the road 😒
